Ingredients

1/2 gal. apple cider
1 apple, diced
Peel of 1 orange, torn into pieces
2 cinnamon sticks
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup bourbon

Instructions

1.Prepare the Ingredients:

Dice the apple into small pieces.

Tear the orange peel into smaller pieces for better infusion.

2.Combine in a Pot:

Pour 1/2 gallon of apple cider into a large pot.

Add the diced apple, orange peel, 2 cinnamon sticks, and 1/4 cup of sugar.

3.Heat the Mixture:

Place the pot over medium heat and stir occasionally until the sugar dissolves.

Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 20 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.

4.Add Bourbon:

Remove the pot from heat and stir in 1/2 cup of bourbon.

5.Serve:

Ladle the cider into mugs, ensuring each serving gets some apple pieces and a bit of cinnamon stick if desired.

Enjoy warm!
